SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it really is alarmed about the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large number of clients/beneficiaries to access sassa status SASSA services.

“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional here office devoted to service the area daily. The services point developed for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to help the servicing of all sassa status customers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
